Manuel is former senior editor at POLITICO, where he led all coverage of Capitol Hill and congressional campaigns with a focus on energy and the environment.

He has also reported from Capitol Hill for public radio stations across the country. And he covered the Virginia and Missouri legislatures for local ABC affiliates.

Manuel graduated from American University in Washington with a degree in journalism and a minor in international relations. He has a master’s degree in political science from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
